Description

Hetty has a highly efficient motor, a 10 metre cable and rewind storage system, and comes with a host of useful accessories. What goes in, stays in - innovative self-seal tab locks all the dust in the bag, meaning emptying with no dust, no mess. Probably best known for this appearance – something which has helped to make this vacuum cleaner something of a celebrity and household name – it shouldn’t be forgotten that he is also a very capable vacuum.

You would think that you paid less for less dustbin capacity (like what you get with the James, where you sacrifice dustbin space for storage) but this isn’t the case. There’s Hetty, who’s also known as the female Henry Hoover, as well as James, Harry, George and Charles, the latter two which are wet and dry vacuums. Like nearly all Henry vacuums the traditional Henry Hoover is corded and requires bags, so that’s something to bear in mind as he’ll need to be plugged in and have his bag changed from time to time. While the George also cleans carpets and upholstery, the Charles is able to sook up spillage without exploding. The main thing missing with Charles when compared to George is the extra carpet / upholstery cleaner. Unlike all other Henry vacuums, the Henry Cordless runs off batteries so does not need to be plugged into the wall when using. To look inside the box meant that we needed to summon the scissors to cut the tape that secured the sides.

With a huge 15L bag capacity for dry cleaning, and a more than adequate 9L capacity for wet cleaning, George also has plenty of room so you don’t need to be emptying him too regularly. With such a large range it is tough to pick an outright favourite, but with all these hoovers coming from Numatic you’ll be getting a fantastic vacuum whichever you decide to go with. One in three people suffer from dust-related allergies, but thanks to an advanced three-stage filtration system, allergens have nowhere left to hide when the Henry Allergy is in use.Henry (HVR160, HVR200 and HVR240) - All earlier models of these three Henrys besides their current versions are now discontinued.

Instead, they were really selling products that wasted energy and offered no improvement in terms of performance. Rumour has it that your Henry will work without the bag in it, but that you might not get the suction you could expect otherwise. They aren’t as environmentally friendly either, so if being E-friendly is important to you the basic Henry is the better model. So if you’re looking for a wet and dry vacuum vacuum that’s great at cleaning both surfaces, we really think George is your man.One minute you might be using him to vacuum up the dust and dirt from a carpet, the next you might be dealing with a blocked sink – it’s all the same to him. Those vacuum bags hold a lot of debris by the way and we can't imagine you'll get through more than one pack within the year, unless all you vacuum is DIY dust and rubble, of course. Water causes a huge amount of trouble in the home and big spillages or leaks could lead to damage which has your wallet screaming for mercy.
